Makeup Monday: Basic Full Face Coverage

I’ve started to incorporate more “lifestyle” and fashion pieces on my blog, as a way to have more content.

With that I am going to do pieces such as ‘Makeup Monday’ or ‘Fashion Friday’.

Today I popped over to /react-text @maccosmetics at the @shophsc to see Annie Mae (@eameinna) who had done my makeup for the wedding I was in this past weekend.

I wanted Annie Mae to give me a quick crash course on basic coverage, so that I could learn how to properly cover the acne that I have just started to have.

Up until a couple months ago I had been on birth control since I was 16. Come to find out, I was one of the only ones in my friend groups who was still on birth control as there are some health issues with being on the pill. Ever since I stopped taking it I started to have acne, mainly around my chin area, and it has become a huge insecurity of mine over the last few months.

As someone who doesn’t wear makeup on a regular basis I had no idea how to cover these troubled areas.

Today when I visited Annie Mae she used on me, foundation, concealer, poweder, setting spray, eyebrow pencil and lipstick (all products in this look are from (@maccosmetics).

Foundation: Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation in the shade ‘NC20’

Concealer: Pro Longwear Concealer in the shade ‘NW25’

Powder: Mineralize Skinfinish in the shade ‘medium’

Bronzer: Bronzing Powder in ‘Refined Golden’

Blush: Powder Blush in the shade ‘Peachykeen’

Lipstick: Viva Glam V

Eyebrows: Eye Brows in the shade ‘Lingering’

When I got home I then just added my own drugstore eye shadow and mascara.

I ended up buying the brow pencil, the foundation and the concealer. I then went to Lawtons and purchased two Real Techniques makeup brushes.
